Our scoring engine isn't a "black box". We provide the full technical breakdown of how we measure environmental impact in the ITAD ecosystem.
EE: Energy Efficiency ?Energy Efficiency measures the Performance-to-Watt ratio. Higher EE means more work done per unit of energy.
We measure the Performance-to-Watt ratio. Every generation of hardware has a baseline (TDP/Perf). If your workstation consumes 15% less power than the standard for its CPU class, your EE sub-score increases by 15%.
ECA: Embedded Carbon ?The total CO2 emissions generated during the manufacturing, transport, and disposal of hardware.
Hardware production accounts for up to 80% of its total CO2 impact. ECA (Embedded Carbon Amortization) rewards lifecycle extension. Keeping a device for 5 years instead of 3 spreads that initial footprint across more "value-hours".
IRI: ITAD Recyclability ?IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) measures the percentage of materials successfully recovered through circular economy channels.
This index measures how much of the device's material is recoverable. We use a Zero Landfill target. Points are awarded for assets processed through R2v3 or e-Stewards certified facilities.
